My Road to Recovery

My journey in life has been incredible !
Clayton Faulconer's story:

Armwrestling saved my life
I chose armwrestling as my sport for many reasons
- it has great people,
- is challenging,
- is competitive,
- is rewarding and strategic.
- Armwrestling gives me a continuous goal. It keeps me in good condition both mentally and physically.
In 2015 I was able to host and organize the Canadian armwrestling nationals in Vancouver British Colunbia. This was an excellent event and opportunity.
In 2018 – Through good diet and excercise, I lost 47 lbs of fat in 3 months.
I show these pictures not to be negative, but to motivate people.
I am the miracle survivor of 4 major accidents
No person was killed in any of these accidents.
Accident #1 - 1997, head-on collision north of Prince Geeorge, BC.
Clayton had severe lung damage, a head injury, and a broken right kneecap

Accident #2 - 2004, Clayton was the passenger in a truck that ran into the back of a manure spreader (very shitty🤣 ).
Clayton's injuries were several broken bones including his right hip, left wrist and severe lacerations to the face.
Accident #3 - 2018, while walking, Clayton was hit by a car while crossing Knight St in Vancounver, BC. Clayton suffered a TBI (traumatic brain injury) and the back of his head hit the metal bar above the front window causing a 4" laceration.
Accident #4 - 2024, Clayton was hit from behind by a truck while driving in Thailand. The truck that hit Clayton was was going 10 times faster than he was. Thankfully the truck that hit me was the same make and model as the one he was driving so the frame hit the frame.

I get knocked down, but I get back up and don’t stay down
What has grown out of tragedy has been a blossoming new life for me and the armwrestling community.
A good story during my recovery!
After accident #3, I was diminished to the point that I was like a newborn baby. I had to relearn how to eat, walk and talk. I was on intervenus for 3 months and when I could eat again, I loaded the fork and tried to put it through the side of my cheek, instead of my mouth. I did this three times and the nurse said that she could feed me, took the fork and food from me. She reached the food to my mouth and when she did, I grabbed her hand like I was going to armwrestle her.
What does this mean?
I could armwrestle before I could eat!
The pictures below are brutal to see, but are of me after accident #3.
I don't show these pictures to be negative, but to motivate people.
These pictures prove that when we set are minds to rebuild and turn the bad into good, anything is possible.
